From Zero to $75K: The Junior Software Engineer Success Story
As a seasoned software engineer with two decades of experience, I’ve seen countless aspiring developers enter the field with stars in their eyes and dreams of six-figure salaries. But the path to success isn’t always straightforward, especially when you’re just starting. Today, I’ll share my road to earning $75,000 per year as a junior developer and how you can follow in my success.

My first step was to choose a programming language to focus on. After much deliberation, I settled on JavaScript. Why? It’s versatile, in-demand, and powers much of the web as we know it. Plus, the barrier to entry was relatively low — all I needed was a web browser and a text editor to get started.
